I was really interested to hear that you enjoy novelty knitting. Does anyone out there have any other ideas for wacky knitting books? Search Press is considering doing `Knitted Fast Food` - hamburgers, pizza slice etc...

Jennyfower, I have knitted most of the cakes and have so enjoyed the passtime. A dozen or so were interspersed with real cakes at a ` traditional` tea party causing many laughs , much surprise and pleasure. I am encouraged to create some `savoury` knits ...after I`ve satisfied the requests for cakes from my youngest granddaughter now. Great to have a ` mad ` grandmother...they tell me Personally I`m happily busy and and thoroughly enjoy ` being mad` Looking for ideas now to better interest the teenage lads in the family. Any ideas? Knitting money?

I haven`t knitted cakes yet, although I have the book and I think they look yummy enough to eat I`m definitely planning to make some of these soon. I have, however made some stitched pies and cakes from Jane Bull`s book "Made By Me", at Christmas last year. They wrre really simple enough for kids to make, but looked great and everyone was fascinated by them. I gave them to people as little lapel badges. The smallest one was about 2cm across(I shrank the original design) and I used a tiny gold coloured safety pin to attach it to the wearer`s clothing.
