About the Author

About Ming-Ju Sun

Ming-Ju Sun is a BFA graduate in Studio Art and Art History, with graduate studies in Chinese history, Japanese Art History and the History of Costumes and Textiles. She has worked in the fashion advertising field as an illustrator, art director, and photographer.

Her original illustrations for the Garfinckel's store, along with the original drawings from Dover Publications' Fashions of the First Ladies Coloring Book, are archived at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.

Ming has created dozens of Dover books focused on fashion including the Creative Haven favorites Art Nouveau Fashions, Jazz Age Fashions, Fashions of the 1950s, and Fashions of the 1960s. She has exhibited artwork of natural material collages as well as abstract watercolor works in galleries in New York City and Washington, D.C.
