Postcard Reviews

For those of us that remember the 1970's will know that Macrame was hugely popular back then and now it is making a comeback, not only for crafters but also for the modern home.

Of course it has come a long way, and is not just used to make those plant holders we all remember with our mothers Bizzy Lizzys hanging in the kitchen.

This book is just amazing and the art of tying knots is brought bang up to date. with door hangings, bunting and table runners.

This is a book that gives you a comprehensive lesson in Macramé. Instructions on tying knots, what you need to get started and of course hints and tips to get a professional result.

The projects are brilliantly spectacular..my favourites are the Hanging light, the Door hanging and the Deck chair. Inspiring and useful, each one is just beautiful. The colours of the rope used in each project is divine, and give a modern and stylish look.

Yes the humble Planter does make an appearance, but in all honesty it is given an update with the many different knots that are shown.

I loved this book, and as soon as my rope arrives I will be giving it a go for definite.
