Date: Thursday 14th July 2022
Time: 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm
Location: Patchings Art Centre, Calverton, Nottinghamshire, NG14 6NU

Jenny Aitken is a regular contributor to The Artist who works in acrylics and oils and is inspired by movement, light and atmosphere in her paintings.

The workshop

The workshop will cover brush technique, colour mixing and how to use different texture and marks for maximum lighting effects. After Jenny’s demonstration, you will learn how to construct a landscape painting with light and depth in mind, including tonal analysis, creative composition, blocking in, colour mixing, textural contrast through varied brushwork and how to finish a painting. Jenny will provide individual teaching and advice.

You will receive

Daler-Rowney will provide each student with a System3 Fluid Starter Set containing six 29.5ml tubes; three 59ml tubes of System3 Heavy Body Acrylics; a System3 Artboard Pad A4 and a System3 Brush Wallet containing three short handle brushes, worth over £60(rrp).

System3 Fluid Acrylic is ideal for pouring, dripping and all liquid art techniques. All System3 Fluid colours are intermixable and once dry, the colours are permanent and water resistant. System3 Heavy Body Acrylics have been reformulated to offer more pigment and more power than ever before, with great heavy body consistency and a unique peak retention. System3 Artboards are rigid boards with System3 paper laminated to the top side, allowing artists to use them independently of any other flat support. System3 Acrylic Brushes are resilient and durable, perfect for painting with acrylics.

The sessions

The morning session will run from 10am to 1pm and the afternoon session from 2pm to 5pm.

The cost of each three-hour session is just £60(inc VAT) per person and includes tuition from Jenny Aitken, Daler-Rowney art materials worth over £60(rrp), PLUS free entry to Patchings Art, Craft and Design Festival for the day, worth £14.
