Macramé - What's Knot to Love?

Last month we attended CHSI Stitches, the UK’s leading and only trade show for the creative craft industry. Thank you to all of our trade customers who came and visited us on our stand - we love getting your feedback, especially on the most popular current and upcoming trends in crafting.

This year many of you asked us about macramé books. This craft has definitely seen some renewed interest since its heyday in the 1970s. It’s no surprise, it requires just a few tools and there are no daunting skills to master. Based on pulling together a series of simple knots, anyone can learn to create intricate patterns which can then be turned into beautiful finished products, from contemporary wall hangings to 3-D objects such as trendy plant hangers or clothing accessories. You can use any type of yarn providing that it is sufficiently strong and flexible.

If you fancy adding a bohemian touch to your living room with an easy-to-make macramé wall hanging or pot holder, then take a look at these books that are available to purchase on our website.
