The Miffy Crochet Book
Few characters are as instantly recognisable as Miffy, the timeless creation of Dutch artist Dick Bruna. To celebrate Miffy’s 70th anniversary, Search Press is publishing The Miffy Crochet Book, an official, fully licensed title featuring 16 charming crochet projects inspired by the beautiful world of Miffy and her friends.
Designed by popular fibre artist Kimberley Zwaans, the book combines Miffy’s clean, minimalist aesthetic with beginner-friendly patterns, step-by-step illustrations and a pretty pastel colour palette. The result is a collection that appeals equally to lifelong Miffy fans, modern parents, gift-makers and crocheters discovering character-based craft for the first time.
This exciting new crochet book will be published globally on the 15th of September 2026!
Mia Hansson’s Embroider the Bayeux Tapestry and The Bayeux Tapestry Colouring Book
In 2026, the UK marks an extraordinary cultural moment: the Bayeux Tapestry’s first return to British soil in 900 years. To celebrate, Search Press is publishing a pair of titles inspired by this world-famous embroidered masterpiece, Embroider the Bayeux Tapestry and The Bayeux Tapestry Colouring Book by textile artist Mia Hansson.
Mia’s embroidery book invites modern makers to explore history hands-on, with full-size transfers, step-by-step instruction and fascinating historical insight, and her colouring book is full of 60 hand-drawn scenes for you to colour, bridging scholarship and creativity in a uniquely Search Press way.
Mia Hansson started embroidering a full-scale Bayeux Tapestry replica in 2016, using fabrics and threads as similar as possible to those used in the original work. She is due to finish this extraordinary achievement in time for the 1,000th anniversary of William the Conqueror’s birth, in 2027. The Bayeux Tapestry spans almost 68.4 metres (224 feet) and features over 1,500 designs.
Embroider the Bayeux Tapestry will be published on the 16th of June 2026, and The Bayeux Tapestry Colouring Book will be published on the 14th of September 2026 – both in time for the tapestry first return to British soil in 900 years!
