There are 24 dolls or toys to make, for very young children all the way up to adults. The cast of dolls and toys are intended as fast friends from early childhood (a marmot plushie and a friendly cat), as well as practical gifts for babies and young children, such as a teething ring and a heat pack right up to comfort toys for older children and adults: a perennially popular sloth, and a pillow in the shape of a raccoon! Some of the simpler projects can also be modified to become more practical.
There are also character dolls to make, including a superhero and a pretty geisha, so you can build up a family of cuddly friends for children or grandchildren (or their parents!) alike.
The book explains the essential sewing terms and stitches required to make the toys, and the clear, detailed descriptions and diagrams of each project mean that they are easy to follow even if you are a novice sewist.
The advantage is that there are no complicated patterns, only diagrams, so you need not be able to understand pattern language to take on these projects.
